Free Wi-Fi now available on all Ichibata Trains – Also at 4 major stations

Ichibata Electric Railway announced that they have completed the installation of Wi-Fi equipment inside the train and that free Wi-Fi service is available on all trains.

Starting with the introduction of in-car Wi-Fi equipment to 7000 series train in March 2020, they have proceeded with the installation while utilizing the subsidy system of Shimane Prefecture, and they completed installation it to a total of 12 trains (7000 series 4 trains, 1000 series 3 trains, 2100 series 3 trains, 5000 series 2 trains) on December 10, 2020 (Thursday).

The SSID is “Bataden_Wi-Fi” and the password is “ichibatadensya”, in addition you can use it seamlessly with common connection settingsin at the above 4 stations and on the trains. If you have used it before, you do not need to modify connection settings. There is no limit on the number of connections or connection time, but there is a possibility that restrictions will be set depending on future usage conditions.
